The Daily Review - Put the Seat Down

We are always given free products to review, here at The Daily Serge, and today's Daily Review comes in the form of literature!  Put the Seat Down {And Other Brilliant Insights for an Awesome First Year of Marriage} is a man's go-to guide on what do to during the next twelve months following the kiss of death the wedding vows.  With sounds biblical texts to guide a man through some of the toughest times of a marriage, this book sets the stage for what lies ahead.

Jess MacCallum divides the book into ten chapters that range from money to responsibilities to even sex.  Within each chapter, you will find some PG comics, the meat of the issue, then conclude with 'The Smart Guy's Guide to Being Awesome", which hit bullet points to show pro-tips to becoming a better husband (or, to those like me, a great 'future husband'...)

This is a great tool for any man who is ready to settle down.  It can simply build a foundation for a guy who may not be prepared for marriage, but still needs to know how to be a gentleman, too.  The key to this book, however, is built upon Christian principles.  Intertwined until the end of Put the Seat Down are bible verses and passages that are to be referred to while continuing this journey or marriage.  In the chapter regarding money, for instance, Jess quotes the Apostle Paul to prove a point on providing for one's family, especially his immediate family.

After reading this book (which is a quick, but informative), and flipping through the Guide's to being Awesome, I am glad I took the time out to review it.  This is why I give Put the Seat Down 4.5 out of 5 Thumbs Up!
