The Six Year Plan - Jello Shots

Dear Reader,

So when it comes to drinking, I'm kind of a mixed bag.

For starters, I don't drink beer. I know, I know, that sounds like blasphemy. According to 90% of my friends, it is, and I should be ashamed of myself. Maybe I just haven't found the right kind, maybe it just isn't for me. I honestly just don't care. You mad Bro?

Alternatively, hand me a bottle of Gin. Good luck finding it the next day. Point.

So, dear reader, considering I don't like beer, I need to find alternative ways to "maintain the buzz." Sometimes I have Woodchuck available. Other times, I might make a little Juice pitcher or something. But, when I've got some friends coming over, or when the mood strikes just right, it's Jello Shot time.

First off, let me explain why Jello Shots are a good idea. Have you ever made them before? If so, you know it's easy shit. If you can read, you can succeed (You can tell that one to your friends and family...). If you haven't, then you don't know the sheer joy a jello shot will bring to a woman's face. Yes, them college ladies LOVE jello shots. Even if they say they don't, they do. Believe, bruv.

That should be enough convincing. I'll show you my typical Jello Shot methodology now.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- Two packages Jello gelatin (Don't get that off-brand shit: What you don't pay for on the dinner table, you'll end up paying for in the doctor's office...)
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups alcohol (your choice, make it fruity)
- Mixing Bowl.
- Measuring Cup
- Pack of plastic bathroom cups (3 oz. or smaller)

HOW TO DO IT:

- Pour Jello mix into Mixing Bowl. You can mix and match any flavors you think will taste good. Here is the list of Jello flavors.
- Boil some water. Once boiled, measure out two cups, and add to mixing bowl to dissolve Jello.
- Once dissolved, add two cups alcohol. Stir until homogenous.
- Pour into plastic cups, refrigerate, and in about 4 hours, enjoy.

I made a fresh batch yesterday, and they turned out pretty well. I used Blue Berry and Raspberry Jello. For the alcohol mix, I always use at least a half cup of Malibu rum, and I try to use another quarter cup of Vanilla vodka. Makes the jello shots really really smooth. After that, use whichever flavored vodka, rum, or shnapps you want to. I prefer using 99 Berries flavored shnapps. It's really whatever you're feeling up for.
