"THE AVENGERS" Special Edition Post: Why I'll Be Watching In Dolby Digital 3D (And Why You Should, Too)

RealD 3D.  Digital 3D.  D3, The Mighty Ducks.  With so many options out there for "the ultimate 3D viewing experience", one is entitled to know just what the heck is going on.  I RARELY see movies in 3D, because lets be honest: unless you're watching "Inception" on 3D BluRay, you're probably wasting your money.  Sure, it's a "novelty experience" -- I get that.  But just as I refuse to purchase fat-laced popcorn, fructose-laced soda, and anti-sexy-and-I-know-it candies at extortionary prices that will only have to make me go to the bathroom during the middle of the film (lesson learned from Star Wars back in the day), I also generally tend to stay a way from 3D -- with a very few exceptions.

IRON MAN + THOR + CAPTAIN AMERICA +THE INCREDIBLE HULK + (LIKELY KREE/SKRULL ALIEN INVADERS (here's hoping for an appearance by Captain Mar-Vel) = Y.O.L.O.

On THAT note, I'm sure glad Drake and Rick Ross came along to help us all realize that we only live once.

Back to my point:"THE AVENGERES", "The Dark Knight Rises", and "The Amazing Spiderman" are, in my opinion, 3 movies you SHOULD spend your money on seeing in 3D.  On a side-note, I may even don a Thor helmet, to enhance the novelty aspect.  After all: You Only Live Once.

But with so many options out there, WHICH 3D is for you?  Fortunately I found this article to help make sense of it all.  I'll let you read it and make your own decision, 'cause you're a grown-up and all (B.O.D. -- we try not to judge.)  As for me and my house: Dolby Digital 3D is lookin' pretty good.
